Police have launched a manhunt after a man was violently attacked and mugged in South Lanarkshire.
Officers were alerted after a 33-year-old man was attacked and money stolen on Rutherglen’s Curtis Avenue on Saturday evening around 7pm.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect, who is described as white, around 5ft 5in, of medium build, bald and around 25 years old.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey tracksuit, black body warmer, and a black skip cap.
Detective Constable Ross Burgess said: “This was a violent attack which left the victim with injuries, and it is vital we trace the individual responsible.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please come forward.
“In particular, we would like to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage which could be of significance to the investigation.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 0129 of Sunday, November 16, 2025.
“Alternatively, you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
