Scotland goalkeeper David Marshall’s gloves from the Euros play-off shoot-out victory over Serbia will go on display at a Glasgow brewery.
Tennent’s visitor centre will host the gloves as part of a new partnership with the SFA.
The lager company say visitors will now be able to “raise a toast” to the gloves that helped Scotland reach their first major tournament in more than 20 years.
The Derby County star’s match-worn gloves will form part of a wider display at the site.
Marshall, who started off his career at Celtic, made the decisive save that guaranteed Steve Clarke’s men a place at the European Championships for the first time since 1996.
The 36-year-old said: “All the players know what it means to the nation to have qualified for EURO 2020, and I’m really proud of the part I played in the team’s success.
“For me, the gloves I wore that night will always be a reminder of that final penalty – and let’s not forget the VAR check afterwards – and I’m excited that I’m able to share that with the fans through the installation at the Tennent’s visitor centre.
“Let’s hope we have some more special artefacts to add before the summer is out.”
Tennent’s senior brand manager, Cameron Matthews, said: “When David saved that final penalty in Belgrade we know a few cans of Tennent’s Lager will have been raised in his honour, but we wanted to go one step further and give fans the chance to toast an iconic piece of Scottish football history.”
