Missing Ayr man with van sparks police appeal amid concern for his welfare Police Scotland

An appeal has been launched to trace a man thought to be driving his van after he went missing.

Kirk Hutchenson is believed to have left his home in Ayr around 8am on Monday, October 30, but has not contacted friends or family since.

The 53-year-old, who lives in the Castlehill area, s believed to have taken his white Mercedes Citan van, registration DF66 ELW, when leaving home.

Police have urged anyone with information to come forward or for Kirk himself to let his family know he is safe and well.

Mr Hutchenson is described as around 5ft 11ins, of medium build, with light brown hair and a beard.

Sergeant John Hurren said: “Concerns are growing for Kirk’s welfare and we are asking anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch.

“Likewise, if anyone has seen Kirk’s van in the Ayr area or further afield, please let us know.

“If he learns of this appeal we would also encourage Kirk to make contact with us or his family so we know he is safe and well.”
