A Glasgow man who has been missing for four days could have travelled by bus or train to Inverness or Aberdeen.

The search for Jonathon Gamble, from the Crookston Road area of the city, is continuing as police appeal for information into his wherabouts.

The 30-year-old, who was reported missing on Friday, has been sighted at a premises on Queen Street at 9.50am on Tuesday morning.

Officers leading the investigation believe he may have travelled north and have urged anyone who has seen him to contact them as soon as possible.

He is described as 5ft 8in tall with a slim build and short brown hair.

When he was last seen he was wearing a black shorts, a black fleece and a black knitted hat. He has tattoos on his neck and a rose tattoo on his hand.

Police say he has experience camping, so could be in a wooded area.

Inspector Jamie Lyall said: “It is unusual for Jonathon not to be in contact with anyone for this length of time and we are growing concerned for his welfare.

“Anyone who knows where he is or may have seen him is asked to contact police.

“I am also appealing directly to Jonathon, please make contact with officers.”

Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101.
