Police are searching for a missing woman from Wales who could be wild camping in Dumfries.
Mary Sweetman was last seen in Llandysul, Wales, on Thursday.
The 31-year-old’s red Vauxhall Corsa was found parked near the U241 near Burnhill, between Mouswald and Racks, around 10.50pm the same day.
Mary is thought to be in the Mouswald area, with the public urged to look out for and report any signs of wild camping since Thursday evening.
She is described as being 5ft 4in, with long brown hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what she might be wearing.
Sergeant Ruairidh Matthews said: “We are growing concerned for Mary’s welfare.
“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are being assisted by partners to carry out searches in the Mouswald area.
“I am appealing for anyone who has seen Mary or who has any information which may assist our enquiry.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and who may have relevant dash cam or private CCTV, which could assist, to get in touch.”
