A woman is fighting for her life in hospital following a serious crash in Glasgow’s east end on Friday.
Emergency services were called at around 2pm on June 28 to reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on a mobility scooter on Main Street in Baillieston, between Church Street and Edinburgh Road.
The 58-year-old female rider of the mobility scooter was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in the city for treatment.
Her condition has been described as critical.
The 77-year-old male driver of the car, a white Ford Fiesta, was also taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
The road was closed for around five hours enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.”
