A mobility scooter rider has been taken to hospital after being hit by a van in Glasgow.
Police were called to Paisley Road West around 11am on Friday following reports of a crash involving a van and mobility scooter.
Officers confirmed that the mobility scooter rider was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Their condition is currently unknown.
The incident comes just days after a 58-year-old woman died after being hit by a car while on her mobility scooter in the Baillieston area of Glasgow.
The woman was involved in a crash with a Ford Fiesta and died in hospital two days later.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Friday, July 5, 2024, we received a report of a crash involving a van and a mobility scooter which happened on Paisley Road West in Glasgow.
“The owner of the mobility scooter was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.”
Paisley Road West has been closed to all traffic eastbound at Corkerhill Road around 1.15pm.
