More than 52,000 residents in Glasgow were left without water after a trunk main burst.
The 36 inch water pipe burst on Saturday morning close to Bearsden Road in Anniesland, resulting in significant flooding of surrounding roads.
Police helped assist with the management of traffic through flooding as Scottish Water engineers worked on the issue.
By 2.40pm, water was restored to homes in the area and repairs to the damaged pipeline were under way.
A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: “We would like to apologise to customers in Glasgow who experienced disruption to their water supply this morning.
“With all customers now back in supply, work is underway to excavate and repair the trunk water main so that the water network can be restored to normal operation.
“We’re grateful for local communities’ patience and support while our teams are working in challenging conditions to keep the city’s water flowing.”
