A motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after a crash closed a busy road in both directions on Thursday afternoon.
The A82 was closed from around 2.15pm on August 10 after a Honda motorbike being driven by a 59-year-old man was involved in a collision with a Mercedes A-class being driven by a 31-year-old man near the junction with Culag.
Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.
Medical staff have described his condition as serious.
Road policing officers are now appealing to witnesses to come forward, in particular drivers who may have left the scene prior to police arriving.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “This is a busy road and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash take place to contact us. I believe there are drivers who may have left the scene before police arrived and I would urge them to phone us as they may have information that will assist our investigation.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone with dash-cam or personal footage. Anyone with information is asked to please contact us through 101 quoting reference number 2059 of August 10.”
