A motorcyclist who died at the scene of a crash with a lorry in Dumfries and Galloway has been named.
Emergency services were called around 4.25pm on Wednesday, March 19 to the junction near Newton Wamphray in Moffat on the B7076.
The collision involved a white Volvo lorry and a silver Honda VFR motorbike.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 61-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has now be named as Iain Macrory. His family are aware.
The driver of the lorry did not require medical treatment.
Sergeant Lloyd Caven said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Iain Macrory at this difficult time.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would again appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with any information.
“If you have dash-cam equipment, please check it for any footage which could assist our ongoing investigation.”
