A mountain biker had to be stretched from a remote hillside in a rescue operation near Dumfries.
Emergency services were called after the biker was injured in Ae Forest at around 12.26pm on Sunday.
Police called for assistance from Moffat Mountain Rescue before 12 team members were dispatched to the scene.
The casualty’s injuries were assessed and treated by Scottish Ambulance Service paramedics, a doctor, a paramedic, and a remote rescue medical technician from the Mountain Rescue Team.
Other members of Moffat Mountain Rescue were sent to the scene with equipment, including a stretcher and wheel, to the location to bring the biker back down to safety.
Paramedics were able to realign the woman’s leg using pain relief and a vacuum splint by the MRT.
The biker was then placed in a stretcher and carried from the hillside with the aid of a back rope to an ambulance and on to hospital.
