Traffic ScotlandLanes on the M80 have been blocked following a multi-vehicle collision during rush hour on Wednesday.
The incident occurred around 7.15am near Junction 6 on the motorway’s northbound carriageway in North Lanarkshire.
Road users have been urged to approach the area with caution and to expect delays.
A social media post from Traffic Scotland read: “Two lanes BLOCKED due to a multi vehicle collision.
“Road users are advised to approach with care and expect longer travel times.
“Tailback to Jct 5. Delays approx. 20 as of now.
“Further updates as we get them”.
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
