Police are hunting two men who were riding electric motorbikes after a man was left in hospital following an attempted murder near St Mirren Park in Paisley.
Emergency services were called to Murray Street, close to the junction with Greenhills Road, at around 4.45pm on Thursday after two men approached a man and assaulted him before leaving the area.
A 36-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Detectives are now looking to trace the men riding the bikes, who were both dressed in dark clothing at the time, and have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Detective constable Stephen Solomon said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this incident and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around this time to contact us.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything. In addition, there may have been passing vehicles with dash-cam footage so I would urge anyone that can assist to please come forward.”
