A suspect accused of murdering a man is alleged to have dumped his dismembered body parts in two locations.
David McColl, 50, allegedly assaulted Graham Wright, 38, at a property in Glasgow’s Gorbals between August 20 and September 13 this year.
Court papers state McColl, by means unknown to the prosecutor, caused Mr Wright to become “fatally injured”.
It is alleged that McColl then “dismembered” Mr Wright and “disarticulated” his body.
The charge goes on to say McColl used sharply bladed and serrated instruments to murder him.
A second charge states that McColl attempted to defeat the ends of justice.
The allegations say McColl “dismembered” Mr Wright’s body and disposed of it, and in secret, in a wooded area in the city’s Castlemilk, as well as Loch Lomond.
McColl, of Glasgow, also faces two charges of breaching bail.
McColl made no plea at a private hearing in Glasgow Sheriff Court.
He will appear at court again within the next few days.
