Nine men have been charged in connection with mobbing and rioting after a police officer was injured before a game between Ayr United and Partick Thistle.
Police were called to River Street in Ayr around 7.15pm on Friday, May 9 after the disturbance broke out among a large group before kick-off.
An officer suffered minor injuries before the group dispersed.
Police say nine males have been arrested following an investigation into the disorder.
The men, aged 15, 22, 25, two aged 27, 28, 51, 52 and 55, have been charged in connection with mobbing and rioting.
They were released on an undertaking and will appear at court at a later date.
Officers say enquiries remain ongoing.
