A 64-year-old cyclist has died as a result of a serious crash in Glasgow on Monday.

At around 8.40am on Monday, May 29, a cyclist was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following a crash with a grey Audi A3 on Fielden Street.

He was in a critical condition in hospital, but police confirmed on Sunday that he had died.

The cyclist has been named as John Morton from Paisley.

Police are now appealing for information and urged any witnesses to get in touch.

Sergeant Andrew Coutts said: “Our thoughts remain with John’s family and friends at this very difficult time for them.

“Enquiries into the crash are ongoing and anyone with information that may assist us should contact 101 with reference number 0737 of May 29, 2023.”
