Thousands turn out in sunshine as Paisley Food and Drink Festival gets under way

Thousands turned out in the warmth and sunshine on Friday as Paisley Food and Drink Festival got under way.

The two-day event continues on Saturday against the historic background of Paisley Abbey.

This year’s line-up sees more than 60 traders showcasing the street food, along with a host of bars and a programme of live music and food-themed fun.

The programme is the biggest ever for Paisley Food and Drink Festival with a larger event site with the addition of the Big Feed Foodie Market, supported with funding from EventScotland, and the Renfrewshire CAMRA Beer Tent

There are also gin-tasting sessions and free, family-friendly activities.

Day two of the festival begins at 12pm on Saturday, with traders open and entertainment until 9pm.
