An investigation has been launched after a member of the public was reportedly attacked by two large dogs in Glasgow.
The person was walking on Edinburgh Road around 4.55am on Thursday when they were attacked by the grey-coloured dogs.
Posting on social media, the victim said the dogs “had to be dragged away” by the owner.
They issued an appeal for information for anyone who knows the dogs to get in touch.
“I’m not sure of the breed, maybe a bigger type of dog”, the post explained.
“The man did shout after me to ask if I was ok, but he had to drag them away, so he couldn’t stop to check on me. I’m looking to see if anyone knows who the dogs belong to, since I’m afraid it could happen to a child, and they might not be as lucky.”
Police confirmed they are investigating the incident, and enquiries are at an early stage.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.55am on Thursday, January 29, 2026, we received a report of two dogs attacking a person in the Edinburgh Road area of Glasgow.
“Enquiries are at an early stage.”
