A person has been rescued with ropes after falling at The Devil’s Pulpit near Loch Lomond.

Emergency services were called to the incident in Finnich Glen, at 1.48pm on Tuesday.

Lomond Mountain Rescue assisted the Scottish Ambulance Service with a casualty who had fallen and sustained an ankle injury.

Ropes were used by the rescue team to safely lift the stretcher carrying the casualty out of the gorge to waiting ambulance staff.

They were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 13:48 on Tuesday 11 August to attend an incident at Finnich Glen.

“We dispatched an ambulance, a special operations response team (SORT), and a critical care paramedic (CCP) to the scene.

“We transported one patient to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”
