A driver has been taken to hospital after a crash involving one vehicle near Lochwinnoch.
Emergency services were called to the collision around 9.15am on Tuesday on the A737 between Beith and Lochwinnoch.
One person was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Crews dispatched one ambulance, a special operations team and a trauma team to the scene.
Police confirmed the road reopened on Tuesday afternoon after drivers were asked to avoid the area.
Two fire engines and resources were also sent to the scene, before leaving around 10.25am.
A Police Scotland statement read: “The A737 has reopened at Lochwinnoch following a one-vehicle road crash, which took place around 9.15am on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
“The driver was taken to hospital for treatment. Drivers are thanked for their patience.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.18am today to attend a road traffic collision on the A737.
“We dispatched one ambulance, our special operations team and our trauma team to the scene. We transported one patient Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.09am on Tuesday, January 13, to reports of a collision involving one car on the A737 between Beith and Lochwinnoch.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and specialist resources to the scene.
“One casualty was taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Crews left the scene at approximately 10.25am after ensuring the area was made safe.”
