Police appeal after van set on fire in early hours

Police are appealing for information after a van was set on fire in West Dunbartonshire.

Emergency services received a report of a white Mercedes Sprinter van on fire on Scott Avenue in Bowling at around 1am on Boxing Day.

The fire was extinguished and there were no reports of any injuries.

Detective constable Darren Boag said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV of Scott Avenue to come forward.”
