Emergency services were called to Latta Street after they were alerted to the incident on Monday.
The road has been closed by police. Members of the public have been urged to avoid the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Latta Street in Dumbarton is closed after police received a report of an unsafe building on Monday, March 2, 2026.
“Please avoid the area.”
