Police have cordoned off an area close to Glasgow Central Station following a road crash involving a taxi.
Emergency services, including police, ambulance and firefighters, were called to the scene on Union Street at its junction with Gordon Street around 1.55pm on Saturday.
Renfield Street has been closed at its junction with St Vincent Street while the Gordon Street exit into Union Street has also been closed.
Motorists and members of the public are being asked to avoid the area, which has been cordoned off by police.
Images from the scene show a black ‘hackney’ taxi having mounted the kerb between Union Street and Gordon Street.
No further information on injuries has been given.
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call around 1.55pm on October 5 to assist our partner agencies at Union Street in Glasgow.
“Two appliances and a specialist appliance was sent to the scene and have now left.”
