Police are searching for a suspect seen running from the scene of an assault in Glasgow which left a man in hospital.
The incident occurred on Howard Street near to Jamaica Street around 12.20am on Sunday morning.
A 36-year-old man was assaulted and injured and was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment by emergency services.
Police said a man wearing a beanie-style hat with a bauble design, blue hooded jacket, blue denim trousers and tan coloured boots was seen running from Howard Street into Adams Court Lane.
Detective Constable Matthew McCann, of Greater Glasgow CID, said: “Our enquiries into this incident are at an early stage and I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to get in touch.
“As the incident happened close to a road we are also appealing for drivers with dashcams to review footage to establish if their cameras have captured the incident.
“Anyone with information that may assist our investigation should contact 101, quoting reference 0074 of December 17. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
