Police hunt two suspects after man in hospital following serious assault

Police are hunting for two suspects after a 40-year-old man was injured in a serious assault in East Kilbride on Friday.

The incident happened at around 6pm on June 3 after three men were involved in an altercation on Loch Shin.

Emergency services attended and the 40-year-old man was treated at hospital.

One male suspect is described as white, around 5ft 10in in height, aged between 20 and 30, with a stocky build.

He has short, dark hair and a beard and was wearing a beige-coloured t-shirt.

The second male suspect is described as white, around 5ft 7in in height, aged between 20 and 25 with a slim build.

He has blonde hair and was wearing dark-coloured clothing.

Detective Constable Meechan said: “Our enquiries have established a green Fiat motor vehicle was seen in the area around the time of the incident and I am appealing for anyone who may have seen it to contact us.

“If you have dash cam or doorbell recording equipment, please check your footage as it could assist in our investigation.

“Officers are also continuing to review relevant CCTV images for any additional information on the car and the suspects.”
