Police Scotland is in talks with Celtic after a fan group revealed plans to march to Hampden Park ahead of the Scottish Cup Final.
The Green Brigade have asked supporters to meet at Glasgow Green on Saturday for ‘Tims in the P4rk’ ahead of the showpiece final against Dunfermline.
Fans are being urged via the group’s social media account, North Curve Celtic, to “wear the Hoops” and join the march to the national stadium, which will leave the park around 1pm.
Police Scotland has confirmed they are in talks with both clubs as they bid to “maintain public safety and minimise any disruption”.
Chief superintendent Emma Croft said: “An appropriate policing plan is in place to maintain public safety and minimise any disruption to the community ahead of the fixture at Hampden Park on Saturday, May 23.
“We continue to work closely with a range of partners ahead of the match, including both clubs.”
The events follow a fallout from last weekend’s title decider between Celtic and Hearts when fans flooded onto the Celtic Park pitch after Callum Osmond scored a decisive third goal for Martin O’Neill’s side.
On Thursday, the Scottish FA released the audio of the final moments of the match, confirming Tynecastle boss Derek McInnes informed match officials his team were “happy to finish” the game as home supporters streamed onto the pitch.
Celtic will take on Dunfermline in the Scottish Cup Final, which kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.
Glasgow City Council has been contacted for comment.
