Police investigating the murder of a man in Glasgow have increased uniformed patrols in the south side of the city.
Omar Sadiq, 32, was found with stab wounds by officers who were flagged down on Boydstone Road at around 1.25pm on Tuesday.
Mr Sadiq was taken to the city’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he died a short time later.
Police launched a murder probe following the results of a post-mortem.
Investigating officers are following a “positive line of enquiry” and believe it was a targeted attack.
Chief inspector Shaheen Baber, area commander for south west Glasgow said: “Detectives are continuing to follow a positive line of enquiry into the murder of 32-year-old Omar Sadiq, which took place on Boydstone Road on Tuesday September 15.
“Additional uniformed patrols are continuing in relevant local areas of the south side of the city, with officers engaging with communities and providing reassurance.
