Police who were called out to investigate reports of a possible firearm in Glasgow discovered the item in question was a toy.
Officers were sent to Mulben Place in the Roughmussel area of the city at 11.15am on Saturday.
After recovering the item and inspecting it they found it was not a “viable weapon”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.15am, on Saturday police received a report of the discovery of a possible firearm in the Mulben Place area of Glasgow.
“The item was recovered for examination which established it was a toy and not a viable weapon.”
