Police search for 'injured' man after early-morning call-out in Uddingston

Police have launched an appeal to trace an “injured” man who was spotted early on Saturday morning in Uddingston.

Officers received a concern call that a man appeared to be injured on Cedar Drive at around 3am on Saturday, September 28.

However, once on scene and a search was carried out, officers could not located the man.

The man is described as aged between 20-30 years old and was wearing either a light blue or light grey tracksuit.

Inspector Grant Wilson said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the local area and saw anything happen, or someone matching the man’s description, in the early hours of Saturday morning to come forward.

“In addition, I would ask that those who live locally and have private CCTV or dash-cams review the footage to see if it has captured anything that could assist.

“We are keen to trace the man to ensure his safety and wellbeing, and would ask that anyone with information contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0530 of September 26.”
