Enquiries are continuing after a woman was subjected to an “appalling ordeal” after being raped in a park in Renfrewshire.
The victim was in the Brodie Park area of Paisley when the attack took place at around 4.30am on Sunday.
She did not require hospital treatment but was left “extremely frightened and shaken”.
Detectives have approached residents within the area and are continuing to trawl through CCTV footage as they look to trace the person responsible.
He is described as being white, in his early 20s and spoke with a local accent. At the time of the attack, he was wearing dark grey clothing.
Detective Inspector Nick Gribben said: “This was an appalling ordeal for the woman who has been left understandably very shaken.
“We appreciate the impact this has had in the local community and want to reassure then that we are doing everything we can to trace the man responsible.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing including trawling CCTV and many residents in the area have been approached to share their doorbell camera or CCTV footage.
“Thank you to everyone that has come forward already to share information, this is proving vital in our investigations.
“I would like to appeal again to everyone in the area to please check your cameras and see if you have captured anything at all from around that time last Sunday.”
