Police are searching for a “dangerous” missing man, with the public urged not to approach him.
Grant McKinnon was last seen on Cardowan Road in Glasgow at 4am on Saturday morning.
It comes after police were called to the “suspicious” death of a woman in the area.
Police Scotland have not confirmed if the two investigations are linked.
Anyone who has seen Mr McKinnon, who is 30, has been told not to approach him and instead to call 999 immediately.
He is 6ft tall and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a red hood and blue jeans.
Detective Superintendent Gary Ferguson said: “Grant is considered to be dangerous and I’m appealing for information from the public to help us trace him as soon as possible.
“If anyone sees Grant, they should not approach him but contact police immediately.
“Anyone with information on where he may be, or anyone who thinks they’ve seen him since the early hours of Saturday morning, should call 999 urgently quoting reference 0523 of April 18.
“Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
