Probe launched after body pulled from water near beach

An investigation has been launched after a body was recovered from the water at a beach in Argyll and Bute.

Emergency services were called after a body was found in the water on Kilcreggan Beach at around 4pm on Sunday.

Officers said enquiries into the discovery are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025, a body was recovered from the water on Kilcreggan Beach.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
