Residents have been urged to avoid the area surrounding a multi-storey flat block in Glasgow after a fire broke out.
Emergency services were called to Wester Common Road at around 2pm following reports of a property fire on the 15th floor.
The blaze was contained in the one property and no one was injured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2pm on Friday, January 16, 2026, we received a report of a fire at a property on Wester Common Road, Glasgow.
“Emergency services are in attendance, and people are being asked to avoid the area.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for comment.
