Police are appealing for information following break-ins at a popular wedding venue and an estate near Loch Lomond.

Police say an outbuilding at Boturich Castle on Boturich Road in Balloch was broken into and vandalised around 5pm on Saturday.

The castle is a wedding venue on the banks of the loch.

Power tools and sports equipment worth more than £8,000 were stolen, and graffiti was sprayed onto the walls.

The following day, police received a report that three quad bikes worth more than £22,000 were stolen from Auchendennan Estate in Arden.

Officers are not ruling out that both incidents are linked.

Detective constable Eva Logan said: “I am appealing to anyone who was visiting these areas to think back and consider if they noticed anything unusual or suspicious.

“If you have any information regarding either incident, please do get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2282 of Saturday, July 5, 2025.
