A Rangers fan has been cleared of throwing a cup at Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo.
Daniel Craib, 26, was accused of assaulting the Finnish international during an Old Firm game at Ibrox on May 4, 2025.
Glasgow Sheriff Court was shown CCTV footage of the alleged incident.
An officer who was involved in investigating the matter gave evidence at the trial.
He initially identified Craib as standing behind a banner of the Rangers ultra group, The Union Bears.
Prosecutor Ross Canning asked the witness what he had seen in the footage.
The officer replied: “The man appears to bend down and pick up some object, which I believe was a cup which contained liquid.
“He threw it at the goalkeeper which he has to duck to avoid.”
The officer stated that the person in the video matched Craib due to his “hairline and face shape.”
In cross-examination, Ewan Crombie, defending, showed the PC an image of the Union Bears group at the match.
The image pointed to another man, whom the lawyer claimed was Craib and not the person the officer identified on CCTV.
The officer said the man in the image could have been Craib.
Sheriff Iain Fleming went on to find the case against Craib, of Greengairs, North Lanarkshire, not proven.
The sheriff said: “It may have been you but I cannot be satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt.
“The police officer said that it may not have been you.
“You looked like the man in the picture, but it has to be beyond a reasonable doubt.”
