Rangers have confirmed one of their supporters has died in Portugal ahead of a European match.
The club confirmed in a statement on Thursday that a fan died overnight in Porto from natural causes.
Rangers square off with the Portuguese side on Thursday evening to finish off their Europa League campaign.
The Ibrox club said their thoughts were with the family and friends of the supporter who died.
A club statement read: “Everyone at Rangers is extremely saddened to have learned of the passing of one of our supporters overnight in Porto from natural causes.
“The thoughts of everyone at the club are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time, and we are liaising with both the Portuguese and British authorities.”
