Residents have been urged to keep their windows and doors shut as firefighters battle a fire in Ayr.
Emergency services were alerted to the blaze at a property in the St Catherines Road area at around 3.35pm on Tuesday.
There have been no reports of injuries.
People said some nearby properties have been evacuated as a precaution and local residents have been urged to keep windows and doors shut.
Road closures are in place at Thornyflat Place and Cherry Blossom Way.
Drivers have also been urged to avoid the area at this time.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland: “Emergency services are in attendance following a fire at a property in the St Catherines Road area of Ayr around 3.35pm on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
“There are no reported injuries. Some nearby properties have been evacuated as a precaution and local residents are advised to keep windows and doors shut.
“Road closures are in place at Thornyflat Place and Cherry Blossom Way. Please avoid the area at this time.”
