A road has been closed following a house fire which broke out in the early morning in Cumbernauld.
Emergency services were called to reports of a blaze at a property on Glen Fyne Road at around 6.25am on Friday morning.
Six appliances and an aerial height appliance are currently in attendance as firefighters deal with the blaze.
The road has been closed and the public have been advised to avoid the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 6.25am on Friday, July 1, to a report of a house fire in Glen Fyne Road, Cumbernauld.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed and people are advised to avoid the area for the time being.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 6.05am on Friday, July 1, to reports of a house fire.
“Operations control mobilised six fire appliances and an aerial height appliance to Glen Luss Gardens in Cumbernauld.
“Fire has been contained and is presently being extinguished.”
