Emergency services are in attendance on the A70 on Lanark Road after the collision around 7.35am on Tuesday.
The road is closed in both directions at Ravenstruther, with members of the public asked to avoid the area.
A Police Scotland statement read: “The A70, Lanark Road, is closed in both directions at Ravenstruther due to a crash which was reported around 7.35am this morning, Tuesday, April 28.
“Emergency services are in attendance, and the public is asked to avoid the area.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
