A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Glasgow city centre.
Emergency services were called to Argyle Street at around 8.40pm on Wednesday evening after reports of a teenager being seriously assaulted.
The boy was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.40pm on Wednesday, 31 January, 2024 we received a report that a 16-year-old boy had been seriously assaulted in Argyle Street in Glasgow.
“He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 20:35 on 31 January 2024 to attend an incident on Argyle Street, Glasgow.
“An ambulance and a critical care paramedic were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to hospital.”
