A schoolgirl has been taken to hospital after she was struck by a car in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Sauchiehall Street at around 8.50am on Tuesday after reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
A 13-year-old girl was transported to hospital for treatment. Her condition is not known.
Officers cordoned off a section of the road between Gray Street and Derby Street. A white BMW was stopped within the taped area with a damaged wing mirror.
An investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.50am on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, we were called to a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a 13-year-old female pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
