ScotRail has confirmed services travelling through North Lanarkshire have been forced to run at a reduced speed due to a large wildfire.
Emergency services were called to Springhill in Shotts at around 2.27pm after reports of a blaze taking hold.
Six engines have been dispatched to the scene to tackle the flames, which are estimated to be affecting a two-mile radius of grassland.
Fire crews remain on the scene in an effort to get the incident under control.
ScotRail has confirmed that the wildfire is having an impact on services travelling on the nearby line.
