A Scots OnlyFans model has been cleared of blackmailing a man into sending her almost £20,000.

Portia Riddick, 23, was alleged to have extorted the cash from the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, in October 2023.

The mum told Glasgow Sheriff Court that she started her OnlyFans page selling explicit content when she was 18 years old.

Jurors heard that Riddick and the man, who was described as “vulnerable”, followed each other on Instagram at some time between 2021 and 2023.

Riddick, who is now unemployed, stated in her evidence that the man paid for a string of “content” from her in October 2023.

She claimed that the man messaged her “daily” over a “long period of time.”

Riddick said: “He was saying he would like me to be his girlfriend, along those lines.”

The man claimed that Riddick had threatened to tell two of his friends that he had been buying content from her unless money was sent to her.

Riddick denied this adding: “That is confidential when you start a business like that. It is illegal, and I would never do that to anyone.”

The trial heard in agreed evidence that the man sent a total of £19,963 across a string of payments to Riddick.

Ross Jenkins, defending, asked Riddick if all the money sent by the man was for content.

She replied: “No. At the start it was. He received what he wanted.

“I was speaking to him and saying I was planning to go on holiday with my family, and he said he would pay for this holiday.

“He said he would pay for me to go to Turkey and wanted to buy things for me like clothes, makeup and shoes. This is what the payments were for.”

Riddick said that the man “spoiled” her and wanted to “be something” with her. She likened the man to a “sugar daddy” or a “pay pig.”

The man told the court that Riddick had told him that he would get his money back.

He added that a meeting with Riddick’s friend in Glasgow city centre to facilitate this was arranged, but they did not show up.

Mr Jenkins asked if the man had asked for his money back, and she replied: “No.” She also refuted setting up a meeting.

Jurors heard that police visited Riddick’s home in Glasgow’s Possilpark in August 2024 after the man had reported the matter.

Officers were initially interested in Riddick’s 20-year-old sister, Paris Riddick, who was the owner of the bank account used to receive the money.

However, before she was arrested, Riddick told officers that she had full control over the bank account, and she was held instead as part of a fraud investigation.

The trial heard that the man allegedly messaged Riddick this year: “Cheeky…because you want to secure daddy for more money”.

The man in his evidence admitted to looking at Riddick’s social media stories in May and June 2026 to see if she was talking about him.

Riddick stated that the man also sent a picture of himself in a Celtic top to her.

Mr Jenkins asked if she took advantage of a vulnerable man and threatened him in order to get money.

She replied: “I wasn’t threatening anyone, and I didn’t know he was vulnerable.”

Riddick was found not guilty of the charge.
