The Scottish SPCA has issued an appeal to track down the owner of a diabetic cat.

The animal was found by a member of the public in the Finnieston area of Glasgow last Friday, November 26, and was handed in to a local vet.

The male cat is now in the care of the Scottish SPCA.

Sharon McKinnon, a veterinary nurse with the animal welfare charity, said: “We are caring for the cat at our vet clinic in Glasgow.

“We’ve found that he is diabetic and requires insulin each morning.

“Despite his diabetes, he seems to have been well cared for and we think someone may be missing him.

“He is white with grey patches on parts of his body and is neutered.

“We’ve estimated him to be between eight and ten-years-old.”

If you recognise the cat, call the Scottish SPCA’s helpline on 03000 999 999.
