Concern is growing for the welfare of a missing man who was last seen exactly a week ago.
The search for George Walker, who left The Burgh Bar in Dumbarton’s High Street just before midnight last Friday, is continuing.
He was last seen walking in the direction of West Bridgend, towards the bridge over the River Leven at around 11.50pm.
The 36-year-old from West Dunbartonshire has not been in touch with any friends or family since and police are appealing for information on his whereabouts.
He is described as being around 6ft tall, with long brown hair and blue eyes.
When last seen he was wearing a jumper with blue, green and white horizontal stripes, a green parka-style jacket, blue jeans and grey trainers.
Inspector Morven Sutherland, of Clydebank Police Station, said: “One week has now passed since George was last seen and his family remain extremely concerned and anxious about his welfare.
“Through our extensive enquiries we know the last sighting of George was of him walking in the direction of West Bridgend, towards the bridge over the River Leven, after leaving The Burgh Bar, in Dumbarton on Friday, February 25.”
