Police are searching for a man from South Ayrshire who failed to return from work and has not been in contact with family for around 24 hours.

Mark Travers was last seen in Paisley, where he had been working, around 9am on October 29.

The 41-year-old was in contact with family later that day but has not been seen since. His last known contact with anyone was shortly before 4pm.

Mark’s behaviour has been described as out of character, and police are now urging anyone who may have seen him to come forward.

Mark is described as white, around 6ft 1ins tall, with short fair-coloured hair. He was last seen wearing black work trousers, a mint green North Face hoodie, a black North Face beanie hat, and brown/tan Dewalt work boots.

He was last seen driving a white Ford Transit van, with the registration number SW21 GZV.

Sergeant Stevie Bruce: “This behaviour is out of character for Mark, who stays in South Ayrshire but was in Paisley for work.

“He was last seen in his white Ford Transit van, and I’d appeal to anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the Ayrshire or Paisley areas to come forward.

“Equally, anyone who may have seen Mark, or a man matching his description, should report this sighting to officers as soon as possible.

“Those with information should contact Police Scotland via 101 and quote incident number 0051 of October 30, 2025.”
