A search has been launched after a Paisley man disappeared upon arriving in Thailand earlier this month.
Kenny Robertson landed at Bangkok Airport on January 5 with plans to travel for a few weeks before volunteering at a dog sanctuary.
The 58-year-old, who enjoys travelling, made contact with loved ones around 2.30pm on the day of his arrival. He then sent an email on January 8 to a friend with a short message.
SuppliedFriends and family say it is “extremely unusual” for Kenny not to be in contact for a prolonged period of time.
The “kind and compassionate” man, who lives in England, has also not been in touch with the dog sanctuary where he intended to volunteer.
A spokesperson for the Foreign Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who is reported missing in Thailand and are in contact with the local authorities.”
