A second man has been arrested after a murder investigation was launched into the death of a “well-known” and “very caring” dad in South Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to General’s Gate, near Old Glasgow Road, in Uddingston at around 7.35pm on October 6 after they received reports of an injured man.
Ambulance crews found David Graham, from Cambuslang, seriously injured, with members of the public trying to help him.
Paramedics took the 38-year-old to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Following a post-mortem examination, police said they were treating Mr Graham’s death as murder.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death, it was confirmed on Friday.
The arrest comes after Liam Kippen appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court charged with murder on October 10.
The 29-year-old from Motherwell made no plea and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear in court again within the next eight days.
Police say enquiries into the death are ongoing.
