A man is in hospital after a serious assault took place in Paisley on Friday afternoon.
Police were called at around 1.40pm to a report of the incident on Caledonia Street.
The victim was rushed to hospital for treatment where his condition is unknown.
A police cordon was seen in the area following the incident and some road closures are in place while enquiries are carried out.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.40pm on Friday, July 14, officers were called to a report of a serious assault on Caledonia Street, Paisley.
“A man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Officers are in attendance and some road closures are in place while enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
