Services from Glasgow Queen Street to Alloa were cancelled after a person was found dead on the track.
Emergency services were called to the line near Cambus just before 8am on Friday.
Police, fire and paramedics attended, however, the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not believed to be suspicious. A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A British Transport Police Spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks just before 8am today (February 13) near Cambus.
“Officers, fire and paramedics attended, and sadly, a person was pronounced deceased. The incident is not thought to be suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the Proctor Fiscal.”
ScotRail said that services would begin to return to normal around 10.45am.
